If cleaning your home without chemicals is a priority to you, you MUST check out Norwex products, especially their EnviroCloth and their Window/Polishing Cloth! I want to start by saying that I am in no way affiliated with Norwex, I have just been a customer for many years. The EnviroCloth and Polishing Cloth work together, and they allow you to clean the hard surfaces in your home with JUST WATER. It is really amazing.
Yes! All you have to do to clean the hard surfaces in your home (countertops, sinks, mirrors, windows, appliance surfaces, stovetops, etc. etc. etc.) is simply wet the EnviroCloth with water, wring it out, then go to town wiping! The special microfiber weave is where the magic of this cloth happens – the cloth traps virtually everything within the fibers. On shiny surfaces, all you have to do is simply follow up with the Polishing Cloth, and you seriously get a streak-free, lint-free shine. It is so awesome. I have thrown away Windex, 409, and tons of various kitchen and bathroom cleaners because of my EnviroCloths and Polishing Cloths! No chemicals needed here!
What About Stuff Like Raw Chicken?
I’m glad you asked. :) This is one of the reasons you need to go to a Norwex party! Most hostesses do a demonstration where they rub raw chicken on several surfaces. Then they clean the chicken juice off each surface with a different method, comparing the EnviroCloth to other methods like bleach spray and a paper towel. When I’ve seen the live demo, what is crazy is that every other method aside from the EnviroCloth, including the bleach spray method, left chicken protein on the surface (as confirmed by a protein swab test)! However, with just one pass of a wet EnviroCloth, ALL traces of the chicken protein were completely gone from the surface (again confirmed by a protein swab test). If you Google ‘Norwex Raw Chicken Demo’, you can pull up several demos on YouTube showing that the EnviroCloth does indeed remove all traces of the chicken juice from surfaces. Not only that, but it won’t cross-contaminate.
Now, because I am super squeamish about raw meat, I really go to great lengths to avoid getting it ANYWHERE in my kitchen other than the pan I’m cooking it in. :) But what a great demo to show how much these cloths pick up, and how well they actually clean your surfaces!
Then They Self Purify
Equally as awesome is that the EnviroCloth is embedded with silver, which allows it to self purify once it dries, since silver is antibacterial. This means that the cloths don’t develop an odor due to growing bacteria, mold, or mildew. After I’m done cleaning, I simply rinse, wring, and let my cloth dry!! I launder my Norwex cloths about once a week, or after I’ve used them for some serious cleaning. :)
Saves Time AND Money, Without Chemicals!
When I first started using these cloths about 5 or 6 years ago, I was shocked at how much time they saved me when cleaning! To clean my bathroom mirrors and counter tops, I just wet the EnviroCloth, wipe down the mirror, then dry with the Polishing Cloth to a streak-free shine (watch the video below for a quick demo). Then I wipe down the counter tops with the EnviroCloth, and again go over the surface with the Polishing Cloth. Super quick, and no messing with (chemical-loaded!) sprays or bazillions of paper towels, only to have to go over everything again because of streaking. A SERIOUS time saver!
Additionally, like I mentioned, I no longer have to buy cleaners for all the different surfaces, as I know the EnviroCloth is really CLEANING… so I not only save money because I’m hardly buying the cleaners I was before (Windex, 409, etc. etc.), but I’m not wasting money on paper towels, either!
I can clean virtually all the hard surfaces in my home with just my EnviroCloths, Polishing Cloths, and some water. :) I have 2 ‘sets’, one for my kitchen and another for my bathrooms. I love not having to mess with household cleaners on my hard surfaces!
So obviously you know how much I love these cloths, and I think anyone interested in chemical-free cleaning NEEDS them. Norwex has many other awesome cleaning products that can make your life easier AND more chemical-free (a mop system that just uses water, Bathroom Scrub Mitt, etc.), but one more that gets the Honorable Mention from me is the Cleaning Paste, as it works so well with the EnviroCloth.
Norwex’s Cleaning Paste uses marble flour, natural soap, and traces of coconut oil, and it really adds some cleaning power for the tougher jobs! All you have to do is wet your EnviroCloth and rub it across the top of the Cleaning Paste – by adding the Cleaning Paste to the EnviroCloth, I can get rid of hard water spots on my drains and around my sinks, baked on spills on my stove top, and any other places that need some additional ‘elbow grease’. I LOVE this stuff!
GO if You Get Invited to a Norwex Party
In short, you should definitely go if you get invited to a Norwex Party, especially if cleaning without chemicals is important to you! The EnviroCloth and Polishing Cloth are worth their weight in gold in my opinion, and are total must-haves. The Cleaning Paste gets honorable mention for sure, but I think you will love learning about Norwex’s other awesome products as well. You can drastically reduce the use of household chemicals by just making a some small Shifts to your regular cleaning routine. #knowshiftrepeat :)
Below is a video review, including a quick demo on how easy it is to clean a mirror with these 2 cloths. It’s all about Knowing better, Shifting to do better, and Repeating. :) Feel free to share and spread the word about chemical-free cleaning! Enjoy!
